AF Hanoi aiming at higher quality, international fame

On June 11-12, 2019, Andrology and Fertility Hospital of Hanoi (AF Hanoi) welcomed Ms. Adrianne K Pope from Adrianne Pope Consulting - Australia's office, the counseling office for  assisted reproductive technology (ART). Dr. Adrianne K Pope is one of the leading quality management experts in the field of assisted reproduction in the world.

Dr. Adrianne K. Pope has over 30 years of experience in the field of assisted reproduction. She has held the position of President of the Australian Reproduction Society for 2 terms. She has also served as a scientific representative at the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC) and has extensive experience working at Monash IVF, Australia's in vitro fertilization center.

The visit and working session is within the framework of international cooperation on quality management to improve the professional quality in assisted reproductive treatments , especially in the IVF field of AF Hanoi.

During this trip, Ms. Adrianne K Pope had an open and friendly discussion with the Hospital's doctors and embryologists in the field of assisted reproduction in general and RTAC Quality Certification of Reproductive Technology in particular.

RTAC Certification is both a common standard in management and a promotion of quality improvement for assisted reproductive units. All IVF centers in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore must adhere to the terms of this standard and are periodically verified by an independent organization. In Southeast Asia, only a few assisted reproductive units have this quality certification.

Before that, in May 2014 and 2016, Dr. Adrianne K Pope also visited and worked at AF Hanoi to evaluate the facilities, techniques as well as the quality of IVF services and assisted reproduction. Ms. Adrianne K Pope shared that in this visit to AF Hanoi, , she saw a lot of innovation: increasingly spacious facilities, additional cutting edge equipment, and a strong, high-leveled team of doctors and embryologists . She highly appreciated the development of the Hospital in the field of assisted reproduction, IVF.

Mrs. Adrianne K. Pope enthusiastically shared valuable experience with doctors and the medical staff during the visit. She hopes that in her next visit, she will see the Hospital change more drastically and gain more achievements.

In response to her enthusiasm, dedication and assistance, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien - Deputy Director of AF Hanoi presented the hospital's strategy and vision, along with specific plans in the immediate future to invest in expanding facilities and equipment, as well as the human resource strategy to focus on training to improve professional knowledge, expand the staff, update and apply state-of-the-art techniques in the world to best answer the needs of patients in the field of assisted reproduction

The visit and working session is within the framework of international cooperation in training and consultation between AF Hanoi and Merck Pharmaceutical.
